About the Event

ree

Hello parents and students,

We are delighted to announce that on December 27, we will be hosting a special welcome and empowerment event for our newly joined volunteers. This is not just a simple meet-and-greet—it is a thoughtfully designed skills-boosting workshop and social gathering.

We are especially honored to invite two distinguished guest speakers to lead our Public Expression segment. Their professional insights will help both students and parents gain a clearer understanding of the essence and value of public speaking.

🎤 Guest Speakers for the Public Expression Session

1. Teacher Shawn C

  • Tutor with real-world competitive experience: Winner of many top-tier awards, including Harvard International Debate Tournament Top Speaker, Stanford Invitational Debate Top 15%, and TOC Asia-Pacific Debate Champion.

  • Experienced educator: Over three years of teaching experience, more than 100 classes taught, with students who have earned Top Speaker awards. He has long volunteered with U.S. nonprofit organizations teaching reading courses and is the founder of the nonprofit Shaping Future Leaders.

2. Teacher Hannah

  • Creator of a theoretical speaking framework: Co-founder of Youth Horizons, with a university major in Broadcasting and Journalism. She has spent years studying both Western and Eastern public speaking systems.

  • Model innovator: Developed the “Youth Public Speaking Competency Model,” dedicated to helping Chinese-heritage youth distinguish between speaking and debating—guiding them from “dare to speak,” to “able to speak,” to “speak brilliantly.”

  • Core member of a championship coaching team: Her team includes national speech team head coaches and champions from Harvard, TOC, and NSDA.

🌟 Event Highlights

  • Icebreaker Activities: Dynamic games to help everyone get to know each other quickly.
