About the Event
This session will include:
presented by professor Xiaolin Wei, internationally recognized public health expert and renowned scholar; Dalla Lana Chair in global health policy; and public health specialist and researcher. Professor Wei serves as Director, Secretary General, and Vice President of the International Alliance in the fight against tuberculosis and lung disease. He is also technical advisor to the World Health Organization (WHO). Professor Wei received an M.D. from both Peking University and the University of Toronto and he was elected a Fellow of the UK School of Public Health in 2012.The Canadian public health system and coronavirus response strategy
presented by Dr. Hanif Jamal, medical director of Oakville Memorial Hospital; board director of Halton healthcare; and former board director of the Oakville Hospital Foundation. Dr. Jamal completed his residency in family medicine at McMaster University.Career planning and development in the Canadian healthcare/health system
presented byJennifer Zheng a medical student at the University of Toronto. She completed her undergraduate degree at the Johns Hopkins University, where she double majored in Biomedical Engineering and Applied Math & Statistics. She then worked in finance at TD Securities in New York City for two years prior to medical school.
