SHAWN FANG

Shawn Fang has more than 20 years of sales, marketing and financial analysis experience. Shawn obtained an MBA degree from Wilfred Laurier University of Waterloo in 2007 and Canadian Public Accountant Certificate in 2009. Shawn has more than 10 years’ experience as a financial professional working for large corporation such as Blackberry and IPG Group prior to becoming a full-time real estate agent. Shawn achieved good result in real estate business. Shawn also actively participates in the construction of western communities and builds bridges between the Chinese community and the three-level government. In recognition of his outstanding community service and volunteerism in Oakville, the Rotary Club of Oakville West honored him as a Paul Harris Fellow. He also won Oakville North-Burlington Spirit Award from Local MPP office and got recognition from Mayor’s office of Oakville for exceptional service to local community during 2020 pandemic.
MELODY XU

Melody is a creative leader with a proven ability to develop and execute strategies to support community development and an achiever with a strong desire for learning and growing. She has 15+ years of advisory, corporate strategy and business development experience that across four industries among 12 countries.
Melody is Ontario register Professional Engineer and got an MBA degree from University of Oxford.
Melody participates in many volunteer jobs include:
Government Liaison Program Representatives PEO (Professional Engineers Ontario) , Board of Directors (Finance Committee) – Parkview Children’s Center.
JEN ZHOU
CPA, CGA
Vice President, Finance & Operations
Zhen graduated from University of British Columbia and Okanagan College with Honours degree of Business Administration and obtained CPA and CGA designations. With experience in both public and industrial accounting areas for over 10 years, Zhen is a senior partner in an accounting firm.
As an accountant, she values social responsibilities. She is a mentor for CPA Practical Experience to guide future CPAs to complete their designation. She has organized fund raising events for different organizations over ten years. She has initiated not for profit organizations for women and youth helping them with resume, interviews and career advises.
CAROL CHEN
CPA, CMA
Vice President, Marketing & Engagement
Carol Chen has worked in the real estate, construction, and engineering design industries for more than 20 years. Carol obtained the CPA Certificate in 2012. During her tenure at a world-renowned construction engineering company, she was responsible for infrastructure projects funded by provincial and municipal governments. Carol not only achieved good results in her profession, but also actively participated in local community charity activities, she is the co-founder of Ontario Multicultural Music Association. In recognition of her outstanding community service and volunteerism in Oakville, the Rotary Club of Oakville West honored her as a Paul Harris Fellow. LARRY GONG

Director, Fund Raising
Larry brings 10 years of experience in the financial industry, with the last 5 years working as Financial Planner for a Canadian major bank. He actively participates in a variety of community volunteering events for healthcare providers, including the Health Care Foundation of NL, Janeway Children's Hospital, and McMaster Children's Hospital. He is a committee member for Oakville Hospital Foundation.
Larry graduated from Cape Breton University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Honours). He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation, and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Toronto CFA Society.
An avid traveller and sports enthusiast, Larry enjoys basketball and supports his Toronto Raptors. He lives in Oakville with his wife Frieda and their two cats.
JOYCE DONG

Director, Community Engagement
Joyce Dong has more than 10 years work experiences in higher education institutions. She obtained a MSc degree in Health Services Research from University of Toronto and Bachelor of Medicine degree in Preventive Medicine and BSc degree in Economics from Peking University, China. Having worked in several hospitals (SickKids, Toronto WesternHospital and Shijitan Hospital in Beijing) and CDC Beijing, Joyce has obtained a deeper understanding of what it takes to deliver an exceptional healthcare experience and in how to better support health care system and medical students. Joyce has the passion and determination to serve for Oak Medical Education Found to help medical students, empower and engage local community and promote social harmony.
